Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Christian Holstad could be acquired at Phillips in New York in February 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the New Now auction, the work Here Kitty Kitty #3 changed hands for USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,023.67) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christian Holstad achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Maid's Chariot in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 34,800.00 (€ 25,867.84).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Christian Holstad konnte im Februar 2018 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion New Now wechselte die Arbeit Here Kitty Kitty #3 für USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.023,67) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christian Holstad erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Maid's Chariot im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 34.800,00 (€ 25.867,84).
