The work A.A.Z. #11 by Christian Eckart was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in New York in June 2015. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,965.39) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Christian Eckart - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work White Painting #615, which sold at auction in December 2012 for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 21,582.36).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit A.A.Z. #11 von Christian Eckart wurde im Juni 2015 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.965,39) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Christian Eckart mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit White Painting #615 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2012 für GBP 17.500,00 (€ 21.582,36) versteigert wurde.
