Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Chris Verene could be acquired at Christies in New York in December 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work Camera Club 11 changed hands for USD 187.50 (€ 155.96) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chris Verene achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Galesburg #35 (Josh and His Girlfriend); Galesburg #2 (My Cousin Candi's Wedding with Her Two Favorite Customers from Her Job at the Sirloin Stockade); and Untitled (Girl in a Cornfield) in October 2002 with an auction result of USD 2,390.00 (€ 2,418.78).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Galesburg #35 (Josh and His Girlfriend); Galesburg #2 (My Cousin Candi's Wedding with Her Two Favorite Customers from Her Job at the Sirloin Stockade); and Untitled (Girl in a Cornfield) im Oktober 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.390,00 (€ 2.418,78).
