Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Lightness of Being (Freedom Edition) by Chris Levine. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,432.00 (€ 2,432.00) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,800.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chris Levine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lightness Of Being, 2004 in April 2017 with an auction result of GBP 187,500.00 (€ 222,659.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lightness of Being (Freedom Edition) von Chris Levine zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.432,00 (€ 2.432,00) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.800,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chris Levine erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lightness Of Being, 2004 im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 187.500,00 (€ 222.659,48).
