In January 2024 Phillips in London held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included the work Banksy 3D by Chris Levine. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 11,430.00 (€ 19,129.92), 27% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chris Levine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lightness Of Being, 2004 in April 2017 with an auction result of GBP 187,500.00 (€ 222,659.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 27 % übertroffen
Im Januar 2024 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Evening & Day Editions durch, in der auch die Arbeit Banksy 3D von Chris Levine zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 11.430,00 (€ 19.129,92) und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chris Levine erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lightness Of Being, 2004 im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 187.500,00 (€ 222.659,48).
