Signed and annotated 'A/P' in black felt-tip pen on the reverse of the frame (the edition was 10 and 4 artist's proofs), further signed, dated '2019' and annotated 'AP' in pencil on the accompanying Certificate of Authenticity issued by the artist, contained in the original artist's specified white-washed wooden frame.

Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2024 Phillips in London held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included the work Lightness of Being by Chris Levine. The price achieved of GBP 25,400.00 (€ 42,510.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chris Levine have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lightness Of Being, 2004 in April 2017 with an auction result of GBP 187,500.00 (€ 222,659.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2024 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Evening & Day Editions durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lightness of Being von Chris Levine zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.400,00 (€ 42.510,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chris Levine auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lightness Of Being, 2004 im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 187.500,00 (€ 222.659,48).
