Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Chris Killip could be acquired at Sothebys in London in March 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Made In Britain auction, the work Mr. And Mrs. Corlett, Ballakilleyclieu, 1973 Susan Hyslop, Ballachrink, 1973 changed hands for GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,419.47) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chris Killip have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rocker And Rosie Going Home, Seacoal Beach, Lynemouth, Northumberland, Uk, 1984 in April 2014 with an auction result of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,933.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chris Killip konnte im März 2015 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Made In Britain wechselte die Arbeit Mr. And Mrs. Corlett, Ballakilleyclieu, 1973 Susan Hyslop, Ballachrink, 1973 für GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.419,47) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chris Killip auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rocker And Rosie Going Home, Seacoal Beach, Lynemouth, Northumberland, Uk, 1984 im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.933,08).
