Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction Made In Britain, which included the work George & Jeffrey Quirk, Ballaquine, 1973 by Chris Killip. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,890.92), 19% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Chris Killip have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rocker And Rosie Going Home, Seacoal Beach, Lynemouth, Northumberland, Uk, 1984 in April 2014 with an auction result of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,933.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2014 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made In Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit George & Jeffrey Quirk, Ballaquine, 1973 von Chris Killip zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.375,00 (€ 2.890,92) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chris Killip auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rocker And Rosie Going Home, Seacoal Beach, Lynemouth, Northumberland, Uk, 1984 im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.933,08).
