Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Chris Burden 71-73 by Chris Burden was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Christies in London in October 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 27,133.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chris Burden achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Warship in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 502,000.00 (€ 450,830.71).
