Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2014 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Chinese Art, which included the work The Weeds Beach - Two Sides Of The Garden by Chen Shuzhong. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 360,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 375,000.00 (€ 34,877.43). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Shuzhong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wild Grassland Series No.26 (Diptych), which sold at auction in June 2014 for CNY 849,600.00 (€ 100,040.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2014 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Weeds Beach - Two Sides Of The Garden von Chen Shuzhong zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 360.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 375.000,00 (€ 34.877,43) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Shuzhong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wild Grassland Series No.26 (Diptych) beobachtet, die im Juni 2014 für CNY 849.600,00 (€ 100.040,56) versteigert wurde.
