A top price for Chen Shuzhong - as previously expected
The work Wild Grassland Series No.26 (Diptych) by Chen Shuzhong was sold in the Chinese Art auction at Sothebys in Beijing in June 2014. The price achieved of CNY 849,600.00 (€ 100,040.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CNY 700,000.00 – 1,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Wild Grassland Series No.26 (Diptych) is the most expensive artwork by Chen Shuzhong that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Wild Grassland Series No.26 (Diptych) von Chen Shuzhong wurde im Juni 2014 in der Auktion Chinese Art bei Sothebys in Beijing versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CNY 849.600,00 (€ 100.040,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CNY 700.000,00 – 1.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Wild Grassland Series No.26 (Diptych) das teuerste Kunstwerk von Chen Shuzhong, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
