Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wild Grassland: Fruitfulness by Chen Shuzhong was sold in the 20th Century Chinese Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 162,500.00 (€ 15,420.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Chen Shuzhong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wild Grassland Series No.26 (Diptych) in June 2014 with an auction result of CNY 849,600.00 (€ 100,040.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wild Grassland: Fruitfulness von Chen Shuzhong wurde im Oktober 2013 in der Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 162.500,00 (€ 15.420,41) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Shuzhong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wild Grassland Series No.26 (Diptych) im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 849.600,00 (€ 100.040,56).
