Auction result well in line with expectations
The work West Lake by Chen Chengbo was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Asian Art Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. The price achieved of HKD 12,080,000.00 (€ 1,411,266.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 10,000,000.00 – 15,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Chengbo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sunset at Danshui, which sold at auction in November 2007 for HKD 50,727,500.00 (€ 4,434,511.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit West Lake von Chen Chengbo wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Asian Art Evening Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 12.080.000,00 (€ 1.411.266,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 10.000.000,00 – 15.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Chengbo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sunset at Danshui beobachtet, die im November 2007 für HKD 50.727.500,00 (€ 4.434.511,85) versteigert wurde.
