Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Tai Lake by Chen Chengbo for HKD 2,360,000.00 (€ 277,723.04). This price was achieved in the auction Modern Asian Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 2,500,000.00 – 3,500,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Chengbo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunset at Danshui in November 2007 with an auction result of HKD 50,727,500.00 (€ 4,434,511.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Tai Lake von Chen Chengbo für HKD 2.360.000,00 (€ 277.723,04) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 2.500.000,00 – 3.500.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Chengbo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sunset at Danshui im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 50.727.500,00 (€ 4.434.511,85).
