Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Reclining Nude; & The Back of a Nude by Chen Chengbo. The price achieved of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 6,198.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Chengbo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunset at Danshui in November 2007 with an auction result of HKD 50,727,500.00 (€ 4,434,511.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2013 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Reclining Nude; & The Back of a Nude von Chen Chengbo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 6.198,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Chengbo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sunset at Danshui im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 50.727.500,00 (€ 4.434.511,85).
