The work Lying Nude 32.1 (31) by Chen Chengbo was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2012. The auction ended at the price of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 9,915.45), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 50,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Chengbo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunset at Danshui in November 2007 with an auction result of HKD 50,727,500.00 (€ 4,434,511.85).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Lying Nude 32.1 (31) von Chen Chengbo wurde im November 2012 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 9.915,45) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 100.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Chengbo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sunset at Danshui im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 50.727.500,00 (€ 4.434.511,85).
