It achieved a price of HKD 1,700,000.00 (€ 168,562.64), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 42%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Chengbo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunset at Danshui in November 2007 with an auction result of HKD 50,727,500.00 (€ 4,434,511.85).

Die Arbeit At Leisure below the Pagoda Hill von Chen Chengbo kam im November 2012 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 1.700.000,00 (€ 168.562,64) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 42%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Chengbo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sunset at Danshui im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 50.727.500,00 (€ 4.434.511,85).
