Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 81,260.00 (€ 64,507.42). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chauncey Bradley Ives - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Undine Receives Her (Mortal) Soul', which sold at auction in May 2004 for USD 276,300.00 (€ 226,160.27).

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 81.260,00 (€ 64.507,42) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Chauncey Bradley Ives mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Undine Receives Her (Mortal) Soul' beobachtet, die im Mai 2004 für USD 276.300,00 (€ 226.160,27) versteigert wurde.
