It achieved a price of USD 36,000.00 (€ 29,152.16), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Admittedly, works by Chauncey Bradley Ives have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Undine Receives Her (Mortal) Soul' in May 2004 with an auction result of USD 276,300.00 (€ 226,160.27).
