Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work One Day Our Past Will Be All There Is To Look Forward To by Charming Baker was auctioned at Phillips in London in April 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,493.67). Admittedly, works by Charming Baker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nine works: i) All I Want Can Only Be Accomplished By Ignoring What You Need (black); ii) All I Want Is For Times To Change Until I Hit Some Good Ones (black); iii) All I Want Is For You Not To Speak Unless You Can Improve On The Silence (black); iv) in April 2019 with an auction result of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 58,164.45
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit One Day Our Past Will Be All There Is To Look Forward To von Charming Baker im April 2021 bei Phillips in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.493,67) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charming Baker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nine works: i) All I Want Can Only Be Accomplished By Ignoring What You Need (black); ii) All I Want Is For Times To Change Until I Hit Some Good Ones (black); iii) All I Want Is For You Not To Speak Unless You Can Improve On The Silence (black); iv) im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 58.164,45).
