Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work All I Want is for You Not to Speak Unless You Can Improve on the Silence by Charming Baker. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,024.00 (€ 3,546.27) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charming Baker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nine works: i) All I Want Can Only Be Accomplished By Ignoring What You Need (black); ii) All I Want Is For Times To Change Until I Hit Some Good Ones (black); iii) All I Want Is For You Not To Speak Unless You Can Improve On The Silence (black); iv) in April 2019 with an auction result of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 58,164.4
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2021 führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit All I Want is for You Not to Speak Unless You Can Improve on the Silence von Charming Baker zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.024,00 (€ 3.546,27) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charming Baker erzielen.
