Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Charline von Heyl could be acquired at Christies in New York in May 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session auction, the work Darling changed hands for USD 56,250.00 (€ 50,062.30) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charline von Heyl have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dumka in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 300,000.00 (€ 269,082.43).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charline von Heyl konnte im Mai 2017 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session wechselte die Arbeit Darling für USD 56.250,00 (€ 50.062,30) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charline von Heyl auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dumka im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 300.000,00 (€ 269.082,43).
