Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Bonnet 3 (Elizabeth) Bonnet 4 (Elizabeth) Bonnet 5 (Elizabeth) by Charlie Billingham for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,409.36). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charlie Billingham - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bonnet 4 (Elizabeth), which sold at auction in February 2020 for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,038.78).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Bonnet 3 (Elizabeth) Bonnet 4 (Elizabeth) Bonnet 5 (Elizabeth) von Charlie Billingham für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.409,36) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Charlie Billingham mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bonnet 4 (Elizabeth) beobachtet, die im Februar 2020 für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.038,78) versteigert wurde.
