Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Torn by Charlie Billingham was sold in the First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online auction at Christies in London in March 2021. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,936.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charlie Billingham have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bonnet 4 (Elizabeth) in February 2020 with an auction result of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,038.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Torn von Charlie Billingham wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.936,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charlie Billingham auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bonnet 4 (Elizabeth) im Februar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.038,78).
