Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,527.50 (€ 2,128.19) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Thomas Bale - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pineapples, Grapes, Plums and Pears on a Silver Tray with a Jar on a Draped Wooden Ledge, which sold at auction in February 2003 for USD 7,170.00 (€ 6,651.82).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.527,50 (€ 2.128,19) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
