Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Dead Game, Fruit, A Vase And Ewer In A Timbered Interior by Charles Thomas Bale for GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,525.90). This price was achieved in the auction Sporting Art and Dogs at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Charles Thomas Bale have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in February 2003 by the work Pineapples, Grapes, Plums and Pears on a Silver Tray with a Jar on a Draped Wooden Ledge at USD 7,170.00 (€ 6,651.82).
