Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2007 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art, Wildlife & Dogs, which included the work Grapes, a pumpkin, apple, pear, pigeon and pot, on a table by Charles Thomas Bale. The price achieved of GBP 360.00 (€ 529.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Thomas Bale achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pineapples, Grapes, Plums and Pears on a Silver Tray with a Jar on a Draped Wooden Ledge in February 2003 with an auction result of USD 7,170.00 (€ 6,651.82).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pineapples, Grapes, Plums and Pears on a Silver Tray with a Jar on a Draped Wooden Ledge im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.170,00 (€ 6.651,82).
