In July 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Chemistry (Or The Chemist) by Charles Sargeant Jagger. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 16,800.00 (€ 24,951.88), 40% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Sargeant Jagger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Maquette For The Driver, Royal Artillery Memorial, 1921-25 in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 422,400.00 (€ 611,205.76).

Im Juli 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chemistry (Or The Chemist) von Charles Sargeant Jagger zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 16.800,00 (€ 24.951,88) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Sargeant Jagger erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Maquette For The Driver, Royal Artillery Memorial, 1921-25 im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 422.400,00 (€ 611.205,76).
