Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Christies in London held the auction Modern/British & Irish Art, which included the work Cathal and the Woodfolk by Charles Sargeant Jagger. The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,357.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Sargeant Jagger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Maquette For The Driver, Royal Artillery Memorial, 1921-25 in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 422,400.00 (€ 611,205.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern/British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cathal and the Woodfolk von Charles Sargeant Jagger zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.357,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Sargeant Jagger erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Maquette For The Driver, Royal Artillery Memorial, 1921-25 im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 422.400,00 (€ 611.205,76).
