Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Charles Sandison could be acquired at Phillips in London in December 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the New Now auction, the work Pallida mors aequo pulsat pede pauperum tabernas regumque turris changed hands for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,392.61) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Sandison achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mille neuf cent onze in October 2017 with an auction result of EUR 22,500.00.
