Upper estimate price exceeded by 89 %.
This artwork by Charles Sandison achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in April last year. In the Collection Loïc Malle: Only Time Will Tell auction, the work Hiroshima sold for EUR 5,670.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Sandison - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mille neuf cent onze, which sold at auction in October 2017 for EUR 22,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 89 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Sandison erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Collection Loïc Malle: Only Time Will Tell wurde die Arbeit Hiroshima für EUR 5.670,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Sandison mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mille neuf cent onze beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für EUR 22.500,00 versteigert wurde.
