Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A group of fourteen écorché human figure studies including: The muscles of a leg from knee to foot; A back view of a male torso, from a dissection; Studies of the bones of a foot and a knee joint; The legs of a skeleton set in walking position; A c by Charles Landseer was sold in the Andrew Wyld: Connoisseur Dealer auction at Christies in London in July 2012. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,349.07). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Landseer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Return of the Dove to the Ark in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 133,150.00 (€ 194,394.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
