Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled Railroad Ties Series, 1988 by Charles Fine was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California Part II Online auction at Bonhams in September this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,200.00 (€ 3,023.43) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Charles Fine have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hueso, 1992 in April 2021 with an auction result of USD 20,312.50 (€ 16,884.87).
