Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Charles Fine achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September 2020. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California auction, the work Herramientas de la Vida, 1987 sold for USD 17,575.00 (€ 14,998.29) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Charles Fine; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Hueso, 1992 sold at auction in April 2021 with the realized price of USD 20,312.50 (€ 16,884.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Fine erzielte im September 2020 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California wurde die Arbeit Herramientas de la Vida, 1987 für USD 17.575,00 (€ 14.998,29) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Charles Fine; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Hueso, 1992 im April 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 20.312,50 (€ 16.884,87).
