The work The Flying Dutchman by Charles Eyck was sold in the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2002. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 776.75 29% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Charles Eyck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gammeludden: a party on the Swedish shore in November 2009 with an auction result of EUR 6,250.00.

Die Arbeit The Flying Dutchman von Charles Eyck wurde im September 2002 in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 776,75 und damit 29% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Eyck auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gammeludden: a party on the Swedish shore im November 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.250,00.
