Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work House And Tree Forms by Charles Demuth for USD 18,750.00 (€ 17,193.95). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Demuth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In The Key Of Blue in December 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,685,000.00 (€ 1,222,875.39).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit House And Tree Forms von Charles Demuth für USD 18.750,00 (€ 17.193,95) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Demuth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In The Key Of Blue im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.685.000,00 (€ 1.222.875,39).
