It achieved a price of AUD 90,000.00 (€ 46,410.90), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 29%. Admittedly, works by Charles Conder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work British the Fatal Colors in August 2008 with an auction result of AUD 702,000.00 (€ 409,791.12).

Die Arbeit British Australian Landscape von Charles Conder wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von AUD 90.000,00 (€ 46.410,90) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 29%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Conder auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit British the Fatal Colors im August 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 702.000,00 (€ 409.791,12).
