Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 87,750.00 (€ 102,098.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Burton Barber have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work In Disgrace in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 322,400.00 (€ 478,425.38).
