Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The lamb with the lion by Charles Burton Barber was sold in the British and European Art auction at Bonhams in London in March last year. It achieved a price of GBP 17,750.00 (€ 21,044.62), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Burton Barber achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In Disgrace in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 322,400.00 (€ 478,425.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The lamb with the lion von Charles Burton Barber wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion British and European Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 17.750,00 (€ 21.044,62) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Burton Barber erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In Disgrace im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 322.400,00 (€ 478.425,38).
