Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2010 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Ibrahim Mustafa (no. 74 from the Icons of the Nile series) by Chant Avedissian. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 6,875.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chant Avedissian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Icons Of The Nile in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,565,000.00 (€ 1,188,487.24).
