Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Chaim Gross could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art auction, the work Seated Figure changed hands for USD 1,638.00 (€ 1,397.85) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chaim Gross achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Unicyclist in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 34,032.13).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chaim Gross konnte im September 2020 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Art wechselte die Arbeit Seated Figure für USD 1.638,00 (€ 1.397,85) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chaim Gross erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Unicyclist im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 34.032,13).
