Auction result misses estimated price range
In October this year a collector was able to acquire the work Flower Girl by César Piette for GBP 17,780.00 (€ 20,416.38). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 25,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by César Piette - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dog with yellow collar, which sold at auction in March this year for HKD 444,500.00 (€ 52,046.40).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Flower Girl von César Piette für GBP 17.780,00 (€ 20.416,38) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von César Piette mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dog with yellow collar beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für HKD 444.500,00 (€ 52.046,40) versteigert wurde.
