Auction result misses estimated price range
In October this year a collector was able to acquire the work Dog with yellow collar by César Piette for HKD 190,500.00 (€ 23,037.38). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale at Phillips in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by César Piette - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dog with yellow collar, which sold at auction in March this year for HKD 444,500.00 (€ 52,046.40).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Dog with yellow collar von César Piette für HKD 190.500,00 (€ 23.037,38) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von César Piette mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dog with yellow collar beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für HKD 444.500,00 (€ 52.046,40) versteigert wurde.
