Auction result misses estimated price range
In September this year a collector was able to acquire this work without title by César Piette for HKD 138,600.00 (€ 16,722.62). This price was achieved in the auction 20th/21st Century Art Sale at Christies in Shanghai and was even below the estimate range of HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by César Piette - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dog with yellow collar, which sold at auction in March this year for HKD 444,500.00 (€ 52,046.40).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von César Piette für HKD 138.600,00 (€ 16.722,62) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Sale bei Christies in Shanghai erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von César Piette mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dog with yellow collar beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für HKD 444.500,00 (€ 52.046,40) versteigert wurde.
