Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by César Paternosto was sold in the Latin American Paintings auction at Christies in New York in November 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,504.13) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by César Paternosto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Riff in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 93,750.00 (€ 84,088.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von César Paternosto wurde im November 2011 in der Auktion Latin American Paintings bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 6.504,13) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von César Paternosto erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Riff im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 84.088,26).
