Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Cesar Buenaventura could be acquired at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations auction, the work Preparing for the rooster fight changed hands for EUR 812.50 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Cesar Buenaventura have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rice Terraces in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 6,603.71).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Cesar Buenaventura konnte im September 2010 bei Christies in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations wechselte die Arbeit Preparing for the rooster fight für EUR 812,50 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cesar Buenaventura auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rice Terraces im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 6.603,71).
