Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Planting Rice by Cesar Buenaventura was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. The price achieved of HKD 25,000.00 (€ 2,815.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cesar Buenaventura - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rice Terraces, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 60,000.00 (€ 6,603.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Planting Rice von Cesar Buenaventura wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 25.000,00 (€ 2.815,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Cesar Buenaventura mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rice Terraces beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 60.000,00 (€ 6.603,71) versteigert wurde.
