Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Seated Figures With Their Wares At Market by Cesar Buenaventura for GBP 119.50 (€ 176.86). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cesar Buenaventura achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rice Terraces in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 6,603.71).
