A top price for Cesar Buenaventura - as previously expected
In October 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art – Day Sale, which included the work Rice Terraces by Cesar Buenaventura. The price achieved of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 6,603.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Rice Terraces is the most expensive artwork by Cesar Buenaventura that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Oktober 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art – Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rice Terraces von Cesar Buenaventura zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 6.603,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Rice Terraces das teuerste Kunstwerk von Cesar Buenaventura, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
