In the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work Still life with Ghenomelis sold for EUR 1,792.50 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 900.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cees van IJsseldijk - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A view from the artist's studio at Singel 309 in winter, which sold at auction in September 2002 for EUR 4,182.50.
